Tina Volarič

Tina Volarič, an illustrator by profession, published her first poetry collection Circles of Polyphonic Silences (Krožnice večglasnih tišin) in 2014, already clearly indicating her distinctive poetry voice. The collection was published by Republic of Slovenia Public Fund for Cultural Activities as the uršljanka prize, awarded to the winner of the 2013 Young Literature Festival Urška. She illustrated both of her poetry books herself, including the second one titled Somewehere Inside There Is an Ear (Nekje notri je uho, Goga, 2025), which was nominated for the Cankar Award in 2026. Tina Volarič has also received several awards for her illustrations. She exhibits in Slovenia and internationally. She lives (and also works) in the Karst region, where she moved from her native Soča Valley.
