Prof. Dr. Jožica Škofic, a senior research fellow, is an associate member of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SAZU) and a researcher at the Department of Dialectology of the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language at the Scientific Research Center of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ZRC SAZU). Her research focuses primarily on the dialectology of the Slovenian language and geolinguistics, dialect nomenclature, dialect lexicography, and the history of the Slovenian language. She is the project leader of the Slovenian Linguistic Atlas. He teaches linguistics courses at the Department of Slovenian Studies at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Primorska in Koper.
