Jernej Grlj (1999) is a native Primorec. He graduated from the Diocesan Classical Gymnasium in Ljubljana, earned his degree from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Ljubljana, and began his doctoral studies in mathematics at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in 2023. In 2018, he received the Župančičeva frulica award. He publishes his poetry on the web portals Ars Litera, LUD Literatura, KUD Logos, and Vrabec Anarhist, in the magazines Zvon and Rast, and in November. In 2025, he published his debut poetry book, Tišina with the Celjska Mohorjeva družba. His publications are collected at https://grlj.github.io/poetry.html.
