Špela Šemrl finished her first year of medicine studies and the conservatorium for music in Klagenfurt, under Professor Roman Pechmann. Before entering the conservatorium, she finished the higher music school in Radovljica, under instructor Gašper Primožič, with whom she still plays today in the Radovljica accordion orchestra. Aside from various concerts, she also takes part in various projects (Slovenia’s female accordionists orchestra – Accordiona, collaborating with a concert of the Laibach group, Slovenia’s Got Talent, where she became a superfinalist, …) and competitions (1st prize at the international competition in Pula, golden plaque at the international competition in Celje, 1st prize at the international competition in Malborghetto, …). This year, Špela will continue as a second-year student of medicine and a first-year student at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana.
In the future, Špela would like to be a successful doctor, as well as a professional musician, who would share joy around the world.
