Matej Juh (1974) is an editor at Radio Slovenia and a literary translator from English into Slovenian. He studied at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana in the Department of Comparative Literature and Literary Theory and the Department of Philosophy. He graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature and Philosophy, and in June 2010 he obtained a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature and Literary Theory from the same faculty. He started working with the Culture Editorial Office at Radio Slovenia in 2000, and has also worked as a translator of cartoons and feature films for Televizija Slovenija. He has also translated a number of children’s picture books and several works of fiction into Slovene (M. Lewycka: A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian / Kratka zgodovina traktorjev v ukrajinščini, J. Banville: The Sea / Morje, Zadie Smith: On Beauty / O lepoti, S. Beckett: Rough for Theatre II / Play // Gledališka skica II / Igra, J. Barnes: The Lemon Table / Limonova miza, Caleb Azoumah Nelson: Open Water / Na odprtem). For a while he was the editor of the book programme at the Knjižni Krog Association. He works at the Culture Editorial Office of Radio Slovenia’s Ars Programme as Literary Programme Editor.
