
Glorjana Veber (1981) graduated in political science at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana, where she is completing a master of science in sociology (The impact of lifestyles on the purchase of the book) and a doctorate in literary studies at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana (Poetry as an element of social change). Her poems have been published in the mainstream of domestic and foreign literary magazines and newspapers. She has received several national and international awards for poetry, including first prize at the international competition for young people from the area of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia, 1st prize at the international contest for young poets from the former Yugoslav space and the 3rd prize in the competition for Slovenian poetry, estimated by Littoral writers Association (Združenje primorskih književnikov). On the basis of competition she has been selected for the Biennale of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean, where she represented Slovenia in the field of literature. Of the 1,200 poets from around the world Glorjana has been selected in the finals of the international competition Duino Castle.
She is the founder of the Institute IRIU, within which develops innovative experimental approaches in the field of reading culture, and Director of Celje Youth Centre, the Public Institute for Youth Culture, Education, Information and Sport. Center za slovensko književnost (The Centre for Slovenian Literature) in 2013 released her debut, entitled Prosti pad (Free-fall).
