Renata Šribar

Renata Šribar is a researcher in the field of sociology and cultural and social anthropology and an assistant professor of anthropology. She performs the research and activism from the perspective of feminist theory and is specialized in paradigms of feminist subjectivation and cultural constructions of female corporeality. She is the author and co-author of many scientific and expert articles and four scientific monographs –  On Menstruation:  Body in Discourse, Discourse in the Body (Delta, 2004) and  On Pornography: Pornographic Construction and Feminist Reconstruction of Sexuality (Sophia, 2006), The Content Policies:Audiovisual Media and Information-Communication Technologies (ICT) from the Protection of Minors Perspective (together with Tadej Praprotnik, ISH, 2009), and Gender, Sexuality and Violence through New Media (together with Valerija Vendramin, Pedagoški inštitut, 2010). She is a Slovenian correspondent for European Audiovisual Observatory and a member of Commission for Women in Science (from 2010). Besides, she published three booklets ofmfeminist short stories and vignettes, and some literary criticism in Literatura.
