Christian Moe (b. 1971) is from Norway. He has lived in Slovenia since 1995, and has worked as a freelance writer and translator since 2008. Previously, he worked as a researcher and coordinator on a project about religion in the contemporary Balkans. He translates between Slovene, Norwegian and English, and sometimes from Bosnian/Croat/Serb and French. Moe got his MA degree in the History of Religion at the University of Oslo in 1997. His research work has focused on contemporary Islam in Southeast Europe and the relations between religion and human rights. He has edited the volume Images of the Religious Other (2008), and co-edited Religion and Pluralism in Education (2006), New Directions in Islamic Thought (2009), Yearbook of Muslims in Europe (2009–2010) and Gender and Equality in Muslim Family Law (forthcoming). In Slovenia, he has published in Sobotna priloga, Revija 2000 and Dialogi.
