She translates contemporary fiction from Slovene and is Assistant Professor of Translation Studies at the University of Nottingham, UK. She wrote her PhD thesis on the translation of contemporary Slovene fiction post-1991, and her research interests include literary translation, particularly the networks, agents and institutional structures that determine who, and what, we get to read in translation.
