Lara Božak (1999) is completing her MA in Humanistic Studies, focusing primarily on the philosophy of language and writing. Her creative work moves between the fields of poetry and music. She has published two poetry collections: Z luknjami v prepihu (With Holes in the Draft, Črna skrinjica, 2023) and Kap lje kap lje (Dro ps dro ps, Založba Pivec, 2025). The first was nominated for the Best Literary Debut Award at the 39th Slovenian Book Fair and selected for critical discussion at the Pranger Festival. Both books have also been presented as spoken-word and sound performances. She is a member of Young PEN Slovenia and a member of the board of MIRA, the women’s committee of the Slovenian PEN Centre. As a singer, she performs in the ethno-jazz duo Peta stran neba (Fifth Side of the Sky).
