Stanislava Repar, PhD., (born 1960, Bratislava) is Slovak and Slovene literary scientist, publisher, translator and writer. She writes in both Slovak and Slovene languages. She is the author of 3 printed scientific monographs; the last one was Úzkosť dokorán. Nové čítanie poézie Viery Prokešovej (Anxiety Widely Opened. New Reading of Viera Prokešová Poetry, 2012). On-line she has published 3 analyses made within research project “Gender Quality + Equality Policies” (QUING) supported by the EU commission, and 1 analysis for Slovene ministry of culture. Repar´s research interests are mostly focused on transcultural topics, feminist literary theory and comparative literary issues, her editing and managing activities at home and abroad are very rich and quite impressive, too. As the author, until nowadays she has published 6 books of poetry, the last titles are Obešanje na zvon (Hanging on a Bell, 2014 – slo), Echoechoecho (2013 – svk), and book of haiku Fabrika porcelana (Porcelain Factory, 2014 – svk/slo), as well as 4 books of prose, the last one was bilingual auto-fictional prose Slovenka na kvadrat (She twice over, 2009/2013 – slo, 2011 – svk). On the base of the latter the author has written a theatre play the first time performed in Ljubljana and Bratislava in 2013. In 2014 Existenciály I, the book of her interviews made in Slovakia between 1991–2001, has been also published. During last years she again intensively cooperates with the Slovak Radio in Bratislava and Košice. Her poems and other works have been published in many literary anthologies, selections and literary magazines abroad, until now translated into 16 languages. Repar also translates from Slovene into Slovak and vice versa, and from Czech into Slovene; 16 book translations, mostly in the fields of literature and philosophy, have been already published.
