Nina Kremžar (1993) was born in Ljubljana. She graduated from English and Japanese, finished her MA in English and Comparative literature, and is currently a PhD student at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. She writes poetry and prose, which has been published in various Slovene literary magazines and in some international magazines. Different Slovene publishing houses have awarded her poems and short stories, among others her short story won Airbeletrina’s award for the best story of the year, and in 2019 Nina was also chosen as the winner of the Poetry tournament organized by Pivec publishing house. In 2018 she became the winner of the festival Urška, and her poetry collection Access to Open Sea was published in the fall of 2019. She is editor in chief of the literary magazine Novi zvon.
