Poet Marko Matičetov (b. 1984) has published five poetry collections: V vsaki stvari je ženska (2006), Boš videl (2009), Lahko noč iz moje sobe, Brazilija (2013), Na tleh je nastalo morje (2018) in Sonce na balinišču (2020). His poems have been the subject of numerous radio readings (in shows Literarni nokturno, Literarni portret, and Lirični utrinek) and translations into foreign languages (English, Italian, Serbian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Polish). The Serbian translation has been given to his book ”Srce u pesku Kopakabane: izabrane pesme” (2017), while his 2013 collection has been translated into Portuguese and published as ”Boa noite do meu quarto, Brasil” (2019). Marko Matičetov has a master’s degree in political science from the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana. After finishing his degree, he started working as a librarian at the Piran City Library. He lives in Lucija and plays boules for Izola in the Slovenian league.
