Born in Kranj (1970). Studied Slovene and English language and literature at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. Her postgraduate work as a junior researcher was oriented toward Translation Studies, and both her MA and PhD theses deal with issues of literary translation. She is an assistant professor at the Department of Translation of the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. Her teaching and research concern the translation of literary texts and texts from the arts and humanities, especially stylistic and register shifts, retranslation, and the problem of different source texts. In recent years, she has published translations of the novels Stille dager i Mixing Part by Erlend Loe (2011) and Ut å stjæle hester by Per Petterson (2008), the plays En folkefiende (2010) and Samfundets støtter (2011) by Henrik Ibsen, several children’s books, the philosophical work Reality by Peter Kingsley (2010), and an anthology of Norwegian poetry titled Tukaj je tako čudno (2010).
