Kaja Teržan

Kaja Teržan, born in 1986, grew up in Škofja Loka (Slovenia) and Solna (Sweden). Her study of art history and sociology at Ljubljana University was beforehand interrupted as she shifted to wider area of contemporary art in dance and performance practice. In 2015 her first book of poetry Delta was introduced by Center za slovensko književnost in collection Aleph, which was nominated for a prize in literature “Veronikina nagrada” in 2016. Through multimedia performance Delta, which started in 2015 she was hosted at international festival – 17th Biennale of young artists Mediterranea in Milano. Including her own poetry, she participated in different performance contexts – as from 2016 on also accompanied by a pianist Manca Udovič. Kaja Teržan introduced her poetry to the public at several poetry readings throughout Slovenia and abroad, where she participated in literature projects in Berlin, Vienna, Granada and Stockholm.
