Jelka Ciglenečki

Jelka Ciglenečki (b. 1980, Ptuj) got her degrees in Comparative Literature and Literary Theory and Russian Studies at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. She is a member of the Slovenian Association of Literary Translators and Slovenian Association of Literary Critics. Since 2004 she has been the executive of the festival Days of Poetry and Wine festival, since 2005 she has been the assistant editor-in-chief of the Beletrina publishing project (Študentska založba). Since 2003 she has written literary reviews for the foremost Slovenian literary journals (Sodobnost, Literatura), and for main Slovenian dailies (Delo, Večer, Dnevnik). She translates literature from Russian to Slovenian (works of Sergei Dovlatov, Mikhail Shishkin, Aleksander Genis, Arkadii Dragomoshchenko, Elena Fanailova, Nikolai Kononov, Vladimir Aristov etc.).
