Andreas Unterweger

Poet, translator and musician, born in 1978 in Austria. He studied German und French literature in Graz and in Nantes.

Andreas Unterweger is the author of five books which were all published by Droschl: Wie im Siebenten (On Cloud Nr. 7, 2009), Du bist mein Meer (You Are My Sea, 2011), Das kostbarste aller Geschenke (The Most Precious Of All Gifts, 2013), Das gelbe Buch (The Yellow Book, 2015) and Grungy Nuts (2018). Le Livre jaune, Das gelbe Buch translated by Laurent Cassagnau, will be published by LansKine in 2019.

At the same time, Andreas Unterweger translated works by Guillaume Métayer, Laure Gauthier and Ryan Adams.

He was awarded the literary price of the Akademy of Graz in 2009 and the manuskripte-price 2016, which is named after the famous magazine. Meanwhile, Unterweger is the editor of manuskripte.
